I want to address the issues that are most important to Henry County residents and visitors.

As Henry County Sheriff, my key areas of focus will include:

I am committed to fostering community trust and strengthening the relationships between law enforcement and legal professionals through productive partnerships. This includes the responsible development of budgets, maintaining financial transparency, and advocating for fair and equitable pay raises for Henry County Sheriff’s Office personnel to both retain and attract top-tier talent. I will collaborate closely with county commissioners and city authorities to achieve these goals.

My pursuit of National Certifications will ensure that our agency adheres to recognized standards, guaranteeing the use of optimal law enforcement tactics and the maintenance of humane jail facilities. This proactive approach will also safeguard against costly lawsuits.

Crime Reduction Initiatives:

The Sheriff’s Office will take proactive steps to actively seek extra funding through initiatives based on grants at the Federal, State, and local levels. Our particular emphasis will be on tailoring these initiatives to yield concrete advantages for law enforcement agencies. In my role as Sheriff, I am committed to tackling issues of violent crime, jail overcrowding, and the illicit drug trade within the county. I will collaborate closely with local municipal agencies, aiming to establish a strong partnership and garner support from both state and federal entities.

Budget:

The Sheriff bears a responsibility to the citizens of Henry County, serving as a conscientious custodian of the tax funds designated for the Sheriff’s Budget. During my tenure, a commitment to Transparency will be the cornerstone of our actions. I will craft a meticulously structured budget strategy designed to elevate the safety and security of each Henry County resident, guided by a rational and thoughtful methodology. The Sheriff’s Office will take an active role in pursuing supplementary funding via grant-driven endeavors on the Federal, State, and local fronts. Our emphasis will be on tailoring these initiatives to yield concrete advantages for Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

Community Oriented Initiatives:

A safe county is a clean and beautified county. As your elected Sheriff, I will establish an initiative to utilize inmate labor to assist with cleaning the roads, byways, and communities within the county.

We aim to expand training avenues for county residents, offering instruction in areas such as first aid, responding to active shooters, practicing firearms safety, and appropriately reporting potential criminal incidents (encouraging a “see something, say something” approach). These efforts extend to Law Enforcement Agencies as well. Introducing a Community-Oriented Initiative through the inception of a Sheriff’s Explorers Program. This initiative seeks to enhance interaction with the youth in Henry County, fostering a connection with law enforcement founded on trust and credibility.
